Who Are Athletic Therapists?
Athletic Therapists treat a wide range of clients, using various manual therapies, modalities, and exercise prescriptions, as well as bracing and different taping techniques to help stabilize an injury. The goal of an Athletic Therapist is to return their client back to their usual activities whether that means competitive sports or just walking the dog.
The therapists at Sano Therapy know how important physical activity is, and when we see our clients getting back into their favorite sport or back into their favorite hobby, this is what we are all about!
Who Are Manual Osteopathic Therapists?
Manual Osteopathic therapy is a gentle, hands-on technique. This form of therapy can detect specific qualities in the tissues, such as tension or stiffness. The ability to detect small changes in tissue health is a Manual Osteopathic Practitioner's way of assessing and establishing priority in your treatment plan.
Osteopathic Manual Practitioners work on all layers of body tissue; bones, muscles, ligaments, fascia, nerves, as well as organs. An Osteopathic Manual Practitioners goal is to address and tackle restrictions in each of those layers; one blocked layer will impact another layer. As an example an Osteopathic Practitioner is interested in correcting a vertebrae that may be out of alignment, but will also investigate and normalize the fascial elements preceding the boney layer, as well as, the membranous or “dural” and vascular layer that lies deeper.
